Bones Society of Florida Annual Conference, September 24-26, 2010

Heather Skelton will speak on two issues during the Annual Conference of the Bones Society of Florida, to be held at the Renaissance Vinoy in St. Petersburg, Florida on September 24 – 26, 2010.  Heather will present “Managed Care Contracting” on Friday afternoon, September 24, and “Drive Collections Through Contracting” on Saturday, September 25.  For more information on the conference and the Society, please visit www.floridabones.com.

Skelton Speaks to Practice Managers at NCPEDS Annual Meeting July 30, 2010

Health care attorney Heather Skelton spoke at the Annual Meeting of the North Carolina Pediatric Society (the North Carolina State Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics) in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on July 30, 2010.  Her presentation, “Personnel Files and Contract Highlights for Physicians and Managed Care Contract Highlights,” was part of the Practice Managers program.  More information and highlights of the conference can be found at www.ncpeds.org

Spring Healthcare Roundtables begin March 11th

The first of our Spring Roundtable series will be on Thursday, March 11th, in which Heather will lead a discussion about the HITECH Act – Part 2. She will review the specific action items needed to achieve compliance with the most recent regulations, go over policies that may need to be implemented, discuss whether you will need new Business Associate Agreements, as well as share what can be expected regarding HIPAA in 2010 and beyond.

March 2008: RPA Annual Meeting to Include Skelton Managed Care Workshop

The Renal Physician Association (RPA) will hold it’s annual meeting March 15-17, 2008 in Austin, Texas where health care attorney Heather Cook Skelton will conduct a workshop on Managed Care contracting.
