Distribution of Payments Awaiting Final Order: North Carolina practices are advised that the monetary settlement for the Blue Cross settlement will not be distributed until a final order is issued by the District Court. This order is expected in the near future. The actual amount per physician is yet unknown and will be calculated in part on the number of physicians submitting claims.
HighMark Settlement Deadline: Physician practices received claim forms for a second settlement with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, which is in addition to and separate from the earlier Blue Cross settlement.
